![]() ![]() I'll post more as I found out what I've been able to do. These are strictly for +5 volts and seemingly would require voltage attenuation if used with Etherwave Plus ![]() Third solution are MIDI "brain" boards by Doepfer and PAiA. I'm currently sniffing out the two pedal inputs on my DSI Tempest but I am nervous about plugging in! Another possible candidate is the old Peavey 1600x MIDI controller with 2 pedal inputs- the manual states that they will handle +10 volts. Supposedly the Voyager Mod1 and Mod2 inputs will output MIDI and they are apparently safe beyond +5 volts. ![]() It is also rare to see two chanels of expression pedal inputs on one controller. My 35th original eurorack modular synth DIY projects with arduino nano.CV to MIDI converter, communicate Ableton live or desktop synthesizer. You can play tr. Because of this, I believe, not all expression pedal inputs are going to be happy with CV on a standard TS cable. It gets complicated because most of these pedal inputs are designed for a TRS cable with the synth providing the power for the pedal. Aimed primarily at modular synth users, the converter is compatible with any CV-equipped instrument, from classic synth or analogue sequencers to s Theremins. Analog Systems RS 300 looks to be by far the most comprehensive and can be set up for a wide range of voltages.Īnother solution is to use the Expression Pedal input on a synth or MIDI controller. KeyStep also integrates a socket for a sustain pedal, sync input and output to follow or send a clock signal, and MIDI input to use an external keyboard or use KeyStep as a MIDI to CV converter. The Etherwave Plus can output as much as +10 volts and also generate a negative voltage. The Kenton Pro 2000 MKII converts MIDI data to CV in order to control all types of monosynth and eatures MIDI IN/OUT/THRU sockets, as well as a DIN Sync 24. Analog Solutions and Doepfer are only designed for +5 volts. Analog Solutions, Analog Systems and Doepfer all make some variation. Most contemporary CV to MIDI converters are in a Eurorack modular format. These are much less common than MIDI to CV converters. So, using Etherwave Pro CV outputs would require a CV to MIDI converter. Conversion of clock signals to MIDI clock Transpose Auto-Tune and Fine-Tune functionality Memory locations available: 32 Inputs for CV, aux 1, aux 2 and gate (3.5 mm jack) MIDI output (5-pin DIN) Dimensions (W x D x H): 122 x 75 x 42 mm Weight: 170 g Incl. I'm interested in a hardware only solution wthout a computer. It warks great for standard controller applications but generating meaningful MIDI note on/off data is more complicated. ![]() This requires audio in- not the CV available with Etherwave Plus You need an object called Fiddle for pitch detection. I've done the Max/MSP patch a long time ago with a standard Etherwave. I want to have Etherwave Plus CV converted to MIDI Continuous Controllers for lighting, effects, VJ apps- all possibilities for the best gestural control of all time. Anyway, a useful module, and if it matches your System 55 then all the better.I'm looking into this too. MIDI Thru is helpful and could let you chain up multiple CM1As if you have HP to burn. The USB is certainly welcome although that further highlights the need for a separate Clock output to make your DAW the master of your modular. It’s perhaps a little bit basic compared to many similarly priced modules that offer a bit more functionality like a clock out, glide, modulation CV outputs or at the very least a MIDI activity LED. The CM1A is a useful and simple utility module that at $99 is well priced. Using the Synthtool software when connected to a computer you can adjust the MIDI channels, note ranges and install firmware updates. So you can take the sequence from the AK, to CC, and then to P6, but you can’t send Notes.’ So, I’m trying to research the Doepfer 192-2, Minitaur or Monotribe Midi options. You can convert the CV/Gate output of your Analong Keys to CCs. There’s a switch on the back to select either monophonic mode or duophonic mode depending on how you want to use those 2-channels of CV/Gate. You can’t take CV in and translate it to MIDI notes, only CCs. The “Trig” wording is just to keep it in line with the look of the System 55 which is a little odd, but you do also have a switch between V-Trig and S-Trig for that system. On the front it says CV and “Trig” when in fact it’s a Gate output and so remains open as long as a key is held. ![]()
